AGR Diamond Tools Restructures Dealership Marketing Program

The Woodlands, TX, Feb. 5, 2007 -- AGR Diamond Tools, a leading manufacturer of diamond tools for the construction industry, has recently discontinued its marketing agreement with a Dallas based insurance and investment firm. The original idea was for AGR to obtain investors looking to buy a dealership. However, it quickly became apparent AGR was receiving “investors” and not entrepreneurs looking to establish a hands-on business venture.

"It is critical that our dealers are actively involved in the daily operation of their business," said Rock Rutherford, CEO of AGR Stone & Tools, USA, Inc. "In order to reach our goal of creating successful stocking dealerships throughout North America, we must select dealers who are seasoned sales professionals and understand what it takes to operate a business from the ground floor. Simply accepting’ investors’ will not allow us to reach these objectives”, explained Mr. Rutherford.

AGR plans to hire a marketing team in order to individually select dealers for the North American territories. By selecting qualified dealers, AGR will be able to establish the only dealership network offered by a diamond tool manufacturer. Currently, the diamond tool industry in the US is comprised of only a small number of diamond tool catalog distributors. AGR will be the only manufacturer selling its products directly to the customer via its dealership network.
